Discussions for the new year

If you'll remember a while back I posted on a few topics that I'd like to get together and chat about sometime in the new year. Well, that's now, and it looks as though things are shaping up for a meeting of sorts sometime in early February. I've ruled out meeting on a Wednesday because I don't want to pull people away from the four great courses being offered as part of the winter session of Smorgasbord. Likewise, Mondays won't work due to some great courses offered by the Christian Community College. That leaves us with a possible Tuesday or Thursday gathering. I'll check with the work calendar tomorrow and try and get a date set next week.

In the meantime, there's a few ideas that seem to be bubbling to the surface around thePlace/LPC which I'd love to focus on because we might actually be able to act on them sooner than later. In particular, I think it'd be great to delve into how the idea of a two sector economy relates to us in Victoria and what that might have to do with working toward a collective Nearly Zero Initiative. I'm also wondering about the feasibility of self-determined pricing for any number of things which we sell, or raise funds for, through LPC/thePlace.

And while there are a few of us from the Place are blogging, it might be interesting to have a chat about how that is affecting things as well...

This sounds really cool James. BTW, this is the new WalkSafe site, or will be. We'll have to talk about your template for The Place site, I'd like to 'borrow' it ;)

Had a blond moment on the last post, thats why I deleted it...
