Nardwuar for Juno Host

If you haven't been following things over at the YLOP blog, or from within the facebook group, I wanted to let you know that in response to a great op-ed on Chartattack, I've started a little campaign to raise some support in an effort to make Nardwuar the Human Serviette the host of Vancouver's 2009 Juno Awards Ceremony.

We're only a week or so in and already we've got 400+ new members to Team Nardwuar. If you're a fan of Canadian Music Journalism (or just Canadian music in general) help us out by directing people to the facebook group here or to anything we've got tagged with "nardwuar" over at YLOP.

Keep on rockin' in the free world.

p.s. I have made contact with the man himself, and he is stoked that so many people would love to see him take on the mantle of host!

Okay Jimmy... I got to admit that your mockup there is the best I've ever seen you do. It could easily sell as the actual Juno Promotional Poster. It's classy, beautiful, and engaging. Draws the eye.

Is it a version of something they've done in the past or all original.

Regardless... nice!

glad you like it andy!

to answer your question: i got "the look" by watching a bit of CTV for inspiration. i wanted it to look like on of the ads tv stations put in bus shelters!

the only thing i was frustrated by was the fact that there's no hi-resolution images of an actual juno award out there....

glad you diggit. and keep on rockin' in the free world!
