Progression #6: Easy Like Sunday Morning - Lionel Ritchie and the Commodores

This is the Commodores at the height of tight: I'm nearly convinced their rhythm section is actually a pair of Siamese twins. But I digress....this chord progression is so smooth that it could get boring if not for the syncopation and off-beat highlights that give this song more energy than you often notice.

Bonus points for the restrained (and therefore gorgeous) guitar solo.

Previous Progressions.
Dylan's "Ballad of a Thin Man"
The Black Crowes' "Sometimes Salvation."
Klazz Brothers and Cuba Percussion/JS Bach's "Air"
Grapes of Wrath's "You May Be Right"
The Band's "It Makes No Difference"
