Polls vs Polling Station

Is it just me or does it seem that more Canadians are involved in answering phone surveys than actually voting in federal elections these days?

Canadians (like everyone else in the world) are lazy. When you are called for a phone survey, you have to expend similar efforts to answer it or tell them to ...

Voting takes initiative, planning and effort. Meh...

If you want greater voter participation (I'm not sure that the powers that be do), then you'll have to come up with a least effort scenario (polling stations in malls; elections over several days; vote surveys -- email, cell phone, web browser, etc).

"least effort scenario" - that is probably the best term I've heard in a long time...useful across so many areas too.

I fully agree though - we need to figure out a way to jazz the vote up a bit next time 'round. Maybe I'll throw a "Jazz the Vote" party next time 24 Sussex is up for grabs.
