Loving The Canadian Design Resource

If you're looking for somebody new to follow in the new year I'd highly recommend you add The Canadian Design Resource to your list.

They consistently provide a dose of true patriot design sure to interest historians, pop culture buffs, artists, hosers, yanks, and anyone else with an appreciation for the "well made." Do yourself a favour and check 'em out.

Here's a list of some of my faves from them recently:

Untitled Totems
I saw this installation by artist Brian Jungen when at the AGO last spring and really quite appreciated it.

*

Minihome Trio
Wicked-awesome mini pre-fab homes from sustain.ca

*

North American Remix Flag

*

We're Drowing in Plastic
Some pretty rad, if not a little contentious, street art/advertising found in Toronto.

*

Milli Vanilli Boots
Probably not technically a pun - but along the same lines. These boots are Fab.

*
Coast-Salish Sign
Sonny Assu's work deserves more props.

*

Numbers of Canada pin set
Absolutely Rad. 99.
